Toora Wimmin's Shelter

Toora provides a number of related services for women. It is a non-government agency which focusses on both drug and Alcohol issues and mental health. A number of Toora's staff have completed the Wollongong University dual diagnosis training programme. Toora tries to provide an individualised approach, promoting harm minimisation, education and, where appropriate, abstinence. Both community and group home services are available.

Admission Criteria:

Women unaccompanied by children, who are homeless for any reason.
