More than one way: Planning your accommodation and lifestyle after a traumatic brain injury

The Kit provides resources to enable people with traumatic brain injury to plan for their future accommodation and lifestyle needs. The Kit makes provision for them to do this independently or with the assistance of family members/close others.

What does the kit contain?

  • 5 sections containing comprehensive information about the range of issues and decisions that people with traumatic brain injury will need to consider in making decisions about their lifestyle and future accommodation options and plans
  • Worksheets and checklists that provide structure and assistance in thinking through the options and making decisions
  • A variety of consumer stories and experiences

What issues do the 5 sections address?
The sections address the following:

  • Deciding on where and how you want to live
  • Thinking about vocational, relationship and legal issues that may affect your decision
  • Thinking about your money management and budget
  • Information for other people who may be helping the person with traumatic brain injury in making their lifestyle and accommodation decisions
  • Where to get more information
