The unit provides care for approximately 150 to 200 births a year.

Antenatal care is provided for client convenience at both Camden and Campbelltown Hospitals through the Outpatients Clinics.

The Birth Centre will provide two birth rooms after completion of the Camden Hospital redevelopment. Currently service is provided at Campbelltown Hospital for confinement.

Midwifery based care is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Staffing consists 4.42 full time equivalent midwives to provide continuity of care, through a roster system and on call.
