Family/Carer Support

A Family/Carer Support Group is held on the unit every 2nd Tuesday of the month starting at 6:30pm
The purpose of this group is to provide support for family and carers of people
with a mental illness.
The group provides education about forms of mental illness, treatment methods and
how carers may recognise relapses and seek intervention.
Guest speakers attend regularly and address the group specific illness and
generate discussion from family/carers relating to propels and concerns that they
encounter whilst caring for the person with a mental illness.
