PARENTING = STRESS?
Parent’s Stress Management Group

Being a Parent is STRESSFUL!

Being stressed for a long time can have bad effects on your health, your happiness and your relationships.

Stress can develop from experiences such as constant conflict with your child, anticipating the worst, huge demands on you and difficult home situations.

This can lead to feeling:-

  • alone

  • run down

  • angry

  • feeling like you will lose control

  • guilty

  • like things are on top of you

  • distant from your children

Some ways of coping with stress are helpful, but some are downright unhelpful.

Macarthur Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service has designed a Stress Management program especially for parents in the Campbelltown Area.

The skills taught include:

  • Relaxation

  • Problem solving

  • Controlling Anger

  • Time Management

  • Understanding and changing feelings
