We have three Clinical Psychologists working with people with psychosis.

We provide psychological assessment and treatment. The treatment we provide is evidence-based. Our orientation is cognitive-behavioural.
Specifically we provide:

• Delusion modification


• CBT for voices


• CBT for mood disturbances in psychotic clients


• Coping skills enhancement


• Relapse prevention


• Motivational interviewing for treatment compliance and negative symptoms


• Family education


• Cognitive work on stigma, self esteem, and other problems associated
  with having a psychiatric disability

Criteria for referral:

• Client suffers from am psychotic illness (inpatients and outpatients)


• Client has had an adequate trial of antipsychotic medication.


• Client suffers from distress as a result of their illness. This includes symptom-related distress but also more general distress


• Client is prepared to see a psychologist
