Anxiety and Eating Disorders Treatment Clinics
Services provided:

Cognitive-Behavioural treatments are provided for the following disorders
(according to DSM-IV diagnostic criteria):
Anxiety disorders

- Panic disorder (group and individual treatment)
- Panic disorder/agoraphobia (group and individual treatment)
- Specific phobias (including blood/needle phobia, height phobia, animal phobias)
- Social phobia (group and individual treatment)
- Generalised anxiety disorder (group treatment)
- Obsessive Compulsive disorder (individual treatment)
- OCD spectrum disorders e.g. trichotillomania (individual treatment)
Eating disorders (individual treatment only):

- Anorexia Nervosa
- Bulimia Nervosa
- Eating disorders not otherwise specified
How to refer:
-
Clients can be referred by a health professional, or can self refer
(letters of referral will be answered when the client is seen).
Initially the client will attend assessment with a psychiatrist.
If the client has a primary anxiety or eating disorder, and would benefit
from a cognitive behavioural intervention, they will be treated by a
clinical psychologist.

The Macarthur Mental Health Service Anxiety & Eating Disorders Clinics
are staffed by Masters-level Clinical Psychologists, with extensive
experience in treating the above disorders.
