Macarthur Cancer Support

We are a non-profit organization, totally funded by donations, and staffed by volunteers.

We provide support and understanding to cancer sufferers and their families living in the Macarthur area.

Currently, Macarthur residents have to travel outside the area to undergo chemotherapy and radiotherapy. This causes disruption to family routine, and results in extended waiting times for life-saving treatment and increased fatique to patients who have to travel long distances.

All this will change in 2003, with the opening of Macarthur’s own Cancer Therapy Centre at Campbelltown Hospital.

Our aim is to raise money to purchase equipment, provide wigs, and for beautification of the centre as a whole – i.e. artwork and flowers – to help make it a more relaxed and less traumatic experience for all.

We have a staff of volunteers who will be on hand to provide emotional support, literature, or just a chat while patients are undergoing their treatment.

Of course, this is a huge undertaking, but one that we are passionate about and committed to. However, nno matter how passionate we are, we need your help to make these dreams a reality.
