Who We See?

The Queen Victoria Memorial Home believes that the elderly have an equal right with other members of the community to the highest quality of health care. We believe that they have the right to dignity, individuality, privacy, access to information and the right to participate in decisions made about their care.

We believe that the main aim of aged care is the maintenance or restoration of optimal functioning to enable the elderly to enjoy quality of life. We believe that care of the elderly is a co-operative endeavour involving the residents, their families and all members of the health team.

We believe that all Queen Victoria Memorial Home employees contribute to the overall care of residents and that a high degree of interaction, co-operation and goodwill between staff members facilitates the provision of the highest quality of care.
