Contracts, Service Agreements, and Tendering


Reference: Purchasing and supply Manual. Section 3.1 Quotes/tenders are not required if stock items are purchased from Government Contract Items

  1. Procurement of Goods and Services not in contract - Up to the value of $1,000 No quotes or tenders required - Over $1,000 and up to $20,000 One written proposal as a minimum - Over $20,000 and up to $100,000 Three written quotations as a minimum - Over $100,000 Full Tender process.
  2. Contracts/ Service Agreements Is an agreement between parties for supply of goods/services at a specified price, within an agreed time frame. (This is a legal document) When developing or reviewing a contract/ service agreement please follow the Components & Information check list to ensure no aspect in the preparation of your document has been left out. Attachment 1. A standard Service agreement for Macarthur Health Service is available from the Corporate Services Manager.
  3. Tendering Process Specific process's need to be followed once you decide to go to tender for a service/item. The tender document will usually consist of several parts which may be issued separately or in combined form Section A. General conditions of Tender Section B. General conditions of Contract Section C. Special conditions of Contract Section D Specifications Section E Response to Tender A standard NSW Health Tender Document is available which has been developed to include standard clauses and conditions as well as clauses to be amended according to the nature of the tender being called. A Tendering procedure check list is available to help you with the process Attachment 2. The Standard tender document is available from the Corporate Services Manager.
