Health Promotion is a specialised service that aims to improve
the health and welfare of people of Fairfield
This is mainly achieved through:
- Implementation of strategies such as Building Health Public
Policy, Developing personal skills, Strengthening Community
Action, Creating supportive environments and reorienting
the health service to improve health.
- Development and implementation of health improvement programs;
and
- Working in partnership with other health professionals
and community and non-government organisations to improve
health outcomes for all.

- Assisting in identifying community needs.
- Health Improvement initiative with a focus on Physical
Activity, Nutrition, Alcohol, Smoking and equity.
