The Prairiewood Physical Disability Team (PPDT) is a community-based service that provides a family
centred service to students with a physical disability, who attend school and/or live in the Fairfield
Local Government Area. Our team consists of:
- 2 Occupational Therapists (OT).
- 1 part-time Speech Pathologist (SP)
- 1 part-time Technical Assistant.
As a team we work closely with students, family/carers, Department of Education and other agencies. Students
who benefit from our service may be those who require support in one or more of the following: swallowing or
speech, school performance (eg. cutting, handwriting, organisation or concentration), mobility and gross motor
skills (balance, ball skills etc), assistive technology & communication systems and self-care skills

Is there translated information for clients?
Limited, however have access to health care interpreter service
Language services provision
All assessments are conducted with a Health Care Interpreter
as required.
